Santa Monica Historical Society Museum Celebrates Black History Month

The Santa Monica Historical Society Museum will host a Black History Month Celebration with a lecture and book signing by Venice resident Sonya Reese Davis.

Sonya Reese Davis’ lecture will uncover how her grandfather’s passion to succeed in life led him to a friendly business relationship with Abbott Kinney, the founder of Venice, and how he brought together the communities of Venice and Santa Monica ! through social clubs and events.

Limited Seating, Reservations Required. Free Admission. Call the museum for reservations or more information, (310)395-2290. The lecture and book signing will be held on February 12th at 2:30pm at the Santa Monica Historical Society Museum located at 1539 Euclid Street.
