Police Seek Help Identifying Sexual Battery Suspect

By Lookout Staff

March 10, 2026 -- The Santa Monica Police Department is asking the public's help identifying a suspect in a sexual battery investigation who may have attacked additional victims.
Sexual Battery Suspect

SMPD shared a number of photographs on social media Monday taken by surveillance cameras showing the suspect.

He is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, with dark curly hair and wearing the clothing shown in the photo circulated by police.
Police officials have not released additional information on the sexual battery incident, including the date and location where it took place.

According to the California penal code, "Any person who touches an intimate part of another person while that person is unlawfully restrained by the accused or an accomplice, and if the touching is against the will of the person touched and is for the purpose of sexual arousal, sexual gratification, or sexual abuse, is guilty of sexual battery."

Anyone who recognizes the individual in the picture, believes they may have had contact with him, or has information related to this investigation should contact Detective Sean Baker at 310-458-8932 (sean.baker@santamonica.gov) or at (310) 458-8491. Anonymous information is accepted.
