Santa Monica Police Search for Suspect in Attempted Kidnapping

January 27, 2011 -- Santa Monica Police are asking the public to help them find two suspects wanted for an attempted kidnapping.

The victim was walking in the 3100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue when one of the suspects approached her and started talking to her. She tried to ignore him, but he grabbed her arm and tried to force her into a waiting car.

She managed to fight him off and ran to New Roads School, where school officials called the police. She was not injured.

The man who grabbed her is described as white, in his 20's, five foot eight inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, light blue jeans and tennis shoes.

The suspect in the vehicle was described only as a male and the victim described the car as an unknown make, black four-door sedan, with tinted windows.
