August 19, 2011 – Food and love are no strangers, and the way to anyone's heart often includes a lingering gustatory stopover.
So what better way to celebrate romance than by spending an evening learning how to prepare a scrumptious feast with your lover?
Fans of Border Grill's cuisine and its popular Top Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger will get that chance at a Dating Downtown Couples Cooking class Saturday evening.
On August 20 from 7 to 9 p.m., Chef Alex Moreno of Border Grill Santa Monica will demonstrate an easy-to-cook, Farmers-Market-based dinner sure to please the most discerning palate.
Border Grill has become a Santa Monica landmark, as well as the inspiration for the restaurant's food trucks which have become famous to foodies throughout the country.
Milliken and Feniger have played a huge part in defining modern, upscale Mexican food, based on the home cooking of Oaxaca and the Yucatan.
The evening will include tastings of the items demonstrated, those unforgettable Border Margaritas and tons of fun.
Price per couple is $90 (includes tax) and is limited to 12 couples, so reserve your spot early.
