The Ocean Park Association hosted its fourth annual Fourth of July Main Street Parade on Sunday. The route started at the Civic Auditorium, proceeded down Main Street to Pier, where it turned toward it's terminus at the beach.

Paraders and crowds were simultaneously relaxed and enthusiastic.

Santa Monica's current mayor, Bobby Shriver, was joined by seven past mayors -- Nat Trives, Ruth Goldway, Judy Abdo, Paul Rosenstein, Pam O'Connor, Richard Bloom, Robert Holbrook.

The Grand Marshall of the Parade was Heal the Bay.

As can be seen by the photographs, more than 50 groups participated this year. The contingent of vintage lowriders was the best ever
