Police Seek Auto Burglar

September 25, 2009 -- Police are looking for a suspect involved in a series of vehicle burglary thefts in Santa Monica last month.

The suspect -- identified as Amilcar Sanchez -- broke into a series of vehicles on Santa Monica's north side on August 19 and 20 during nighttime hours and stole miscellaneous items, police said.

Sanchez is described as a male Latino, 27, standing 5’6” and weighing 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

No suspect vehicle was seen at the time of the incidents, said Jay Trisler, the Police Department spokesman.
