May 27, 2009 – Artists from across California will display their works at the Santa Monica Fine Arts Festival on the Third Street Promenade this weekend.
The art festival -- which features artists and crafts people presenting original work in all mediums -- gives the public a chance meet artists, some of whom are represented in galleries throughout the United States, and discuss their works.
The works include paintings in acrylic, oils and watercolors; photography; etchings and sculptures in clay, glass, metal, stone and wood.
The festival also will feature fine crafts that include blown glass, turned wood, semi-precious jewelry, pottery, stained glass and an array of high-quality crafts.
The festival will take place on Third Street between Wilshire Boulevard and Broadway from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission and parking are free. The event is handicap accessible.
The Santa Monica Fine Art Festival is presented by West Coast Artists.
