Attending to the Restrooms

July 3 -- Visitors to the Downtown will find cleaner bathrooms with attendants in Parking Structures #3 and #4 behind the Third Street Promenade off the 2nd Court and 3rd Court alleys, thanks to a pilot program initiated by the Bayside District Corporation and City of Santa Monica.

The program provides bathroom attendants from 9 a.m. to midnight for the men’s room in Structure #3 and the women’s room in Structure #4. The hours are subject to change.

“Not only will visitors find cleaner, fresher facilities, the attendants will make sure the environment remains well maintained,” said Kathleen Rawson, executive director of the Bayside District.

The restrooms are accessible from Third Street Promenade through the CT Plaza Food Court passageway for the men's room in Structure #3 and through the 1316 Third Street Promenade passageway for the women's room in Structure #4.

The pilot program runs from July through September 2006. If successful, it will be implemented in other structures.
