Man Shot Near Broadway By Lookout Staff Sept. 29 -- A man wounded by gunfire in a shooting near Broadway Friday night has refused to talk to police, who are trying to find a motive and suspects in the incident. Police were investigating a report of shots fired at 9:21 p.m. on the 1400 block of 15th Street when they received a call from a local hospital informing them that there was a gunshot victim in the emergency room, police said. When officers tried to speak to the victim at the hospital, "he was uncooperative and refused to provide any information regarding the shooting," said Lt. Frank Fabrega, the police department spokesman. "This guy wasn't saying a word," Fabrega said. "He was ignoring the officer." The victim, who is on parole, was wounded in the left leg, police said.
