St. Patrick's Day Warning

St. Patrick's Day revelers better not quaff too much green beer, Irish coffees or any other alcoholic beverages Friday, else they may find themselves peering out of a jail cell instead of peering into a pot o' gold at the end of a rainbow.

Santa Monica police have announced they will establish a drunken driving checkpoint Friday night in the city's downtown area.

In addition to drunken drivers, police will be looking for driver's license and seat belt violations.
