Thank You from Bob Holbrook

Dear Editor,

I’d like to thank all the people who sent in such kind words about me ("A Tribute to Former Santa Monica Mayor Bob Holbrook," February 26, 2018).

As I write this, I realize I can’t possibly express how much Jean Ann, our family, and I appreciate the time, thought, and affection all of you put into your messages.

They remind me of the remark sometimes made by honorees at testimonial dinners: “I don’t know who this guy is they’re talking about—but I’d sure like to meet him!”

I hope to thank as many of you as possible in person soon.
